It's not often that you call a TV ad "well-designed" since most of them tend to be shot. But, well – here’s the rare exception. This fast-paced, energetic ad for Adidas' NitroCharge soccer shoes highlights the power of the shoe specially tailored for the „engines of the game“ – midfield players Ezequiel Lavezzi, Javi Martinez, Dani Alves. It was directed by Tristan Patterson (Smuggler). The music was produced by Nikolai von Sallwitz.
The 60" TV spot was screened at the UEFA Champions League Final in London and scored over 6.5M hits on YouTube – in the first week of the launch!
For this campaign we also ventured into the world of math: together with the data gurus of Opta, a composite player type algorithm was developed to help identify #theengine in PR and on live TV.
